ARAMUMURU (THREE-DIMENSIONAL GATEWAY – GATEWAY OF THE GODS)

Aramu Muru, also known as the Gate of the Gods, is a sacred site in the Andes between the districts of Ilave and Juli, near the southern Pan-American Highway in an area known as Hayu Marca. Its most distinctive feature is a large doorway-like carving cut into the rock. The surrounding formations have inspired many local stories and spiritual interpretations. Today, the site attracts visitors interested in Andean culture, landscape, mysticism and local traditions.
