DESCRIPTION

Known as the “Little Rome of the Americas,” Juli is located about 80 km from the city of Puno. It gained importance during the Inca period and later became a major cultural and religious center under Dominican and Jesuit influence. Their legacy can still be seen in Juli’s impressive historic churches, several of which remain well preserved.
