DESCRIPTION

Located 18 km from the city of Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, Chucuito is an ancient settlement that once played an important role among the communities of the Collao. It gained greater prominence during the Inca period and the beginning of the colonial era. By 1533, Chucuito was already home to an early Dominican convent, followed by the construction of additional churches.
